  • Utilizing Hamilton’s CO-RE disposable tips with DPX technology provides a fast, accurate, and simple extraction method for analyzing drugs of abuse in urine. The Microlab NIMBUS equipped with a CO-RE 96-channel Multi-Probe Head (MPH) allows for high-throughput, automated sample processing. Using the NIMBUS96 platform, two sample plates can be ready for LC-MS/MS injection in approximately 15 minutes.

  • A testimonial by Derrick Miyao, a Medicinal Chemist at Neurocrine Biosciences, to learn more about the true power and advantages of the Microlab VANTAGE Liquid Handling System and Verso integration.

  • Hamilton automation provides premium solutions for NGS library preparation. The Hamilton Microlab STARlet can fully automate NEBNext® UltraTM DNA Library Prep Kits for Illumina® and has a capacity of 8-48 samples per run.

  • Hamilton Robotics has designed a system to automate oil extraction and FAME production from soy seed samples on the STARlet Automated Liquid Handling Workstation. The system setup allows the user to choose the number of sample plates (up to five) and the number of samples per plate (up to 96). Additional flexibility allows userdefined volumes, mix cycles, shake times and temperature.

  • Learn how Hamilton's patented Total Aspiration and Dispense Monitoring (TADM) provides the capability to measure and quantify fluid properties not possible on competitor platforms.

  • Hamilton is a leader in automated solutions for genomics workflows, sample preparation for downstream analysis via mass spectrometry and other analytical methods. Our products offer reliability, performance, and the flexibility to automate your assays, all with industry leading quality and service.

  • This study examines using a QuEChERS (Quick, Easy, Cheap, Effective, Rugged and Safe) extraction approach coupled with either traditional dispersive-Solid Phase Extraction (dSPE) clean up versus UCT’s dSPE clean up in 96-well plate format using Hamilton’s [MPE]2 — automated positive pressure extraction and evaporation module — for the analysis of 47 pesticides in marijuana. This analysis demonstrates that for most compounds investigated, the high-throughput cleanup method exhibits comparable results to traditional dSPE cleanup.

  • Hamilton Company and and the University of Nevada, Reno, collaborated to demonstrate that immunofluorescent staining can be performed on an automated platform to produce quality images, improved sample reproducibility between plates, and increased staff walk-away time.

  • In this case study, we describe a newly developed automated method for the quantification of Illumina NGS libraries using the KAPA Library Quantification Kit on the NGS STAR for Library Prep.

  • Here, we describe a procedure developed at Color Genomics, a leader in high-quality and affordable genomic healthcare, to extract high-quality genomic DNA (gDNA) from peripheral blood and saliva samples, simultaneously, on the Hamilton Microlab STAR platform using Omega Bio-tek’s Mag-Bind® Blood & Tissue DNA HDQ magnetic bead-based chemistry.

  • The magnetic bead-based Direct-zol procedure on the Hamilton Microlab STAR platform bypasses phase separation/precipitation and enables high-throughput automated magnetic bead-based purification of high-quality total RNA directly from samples treated in TRIzol or other acid-guanidinium-phenol based reagents. Direct-zol effectively isolates total RNA from a variety of sample sources including cells, tissue, serum, plasma, blood, and biological liquids for downstream applications, like miRNA profiling, RNA-seq, and viral detection.

  • The ZymoBIOMICS-96 MagBead DNA Kit allows for a simple bind, wash, elute procedure that is unmatched in providing ultra-pure DNA that is free of PCR inhibitors (e.g. polyphenols, humic acids) in as little as 90 minutes for 96 samples, making it ideal for all downstream applications including PCR, arrays, 16s rRNA gene sequencing, and shotgun sequencing. Sample variability is greatly reduced by using the Microlab STAR and the resulting endotoxin-free and high quality DNA is ready for restriction endonuclease digestion, ligation, PCR, transformation, sequencing, etc.

  • In this study, an automated high-throughput filtration method, using the Hamilton [MPE]² — Monitored Multi-flow, Positive Pressure Evaporative Extraction module — from Hamilton Robotics, was evaluated for cannabinoid analysis in multiple matrices.

  • In this case study, two sample data input methods are described with the addition of an automated worklist transfer from the Microlab NIMBUS liquid handling platform to the Waters ACQUITY Sample Manager MassLynx™ sample batch list.

  • The need to detect and quantify DNA methylation efficiently and accurately has become even more crucial in many areas of biology. In this case study, we examine on how magnetic bead-based bisulfite converted DNA clean-up on the Microlab STAR platform enables high-throughput automated solutions for methylation analysis.

  • Hamilton Robotics and Illumina, Inc have partnered to automate the TruSight Tumor 170 library preparation kit on the NGS STAR. TruSight Tumor 170 simultaneously analyzes DNA and RNA while covering a wide range of genes and variant types. TruSight Tumor 170 is capable of producing accurate results from low-quality formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) samples with a minimum input requirement of 40 ng. The design of the NGS STAR, as a single configuration, enables implementation of additional methods as well as future Illumina protocols using the TruSight Oncology workflow as they are released.

  • In this case study, we demonstrate automated workflows using Medicinal Genomics (MGC) assays specifically developed for cannabis testing. The SenSATIVAx Plant/Microbial DNA Purification Kit provides fast, easy isolation of plant and microbial DNA from freshly cut or cured leaf or flower material without the need for organic extraction, and can be used to prepare samples for use with the PathoSEEK and FemINDICAtor assays. The PathoSEEK Microbial Safety Testing Platform uses a quantitative polymerase chain reaction to search for and quantify the unique DNA sequences of target organisms in cannabis flower, extracts and infused product samples, and includes an internal cannabis control.
